A Tall ship we saw in Quebec city

We wandered around Quebec city and saw some buskers and horse drawn carriages and all the sites for the 400th.

July 20

Taking a break on the side of the road with the O'Neils on the way from Centreville to Fredericton.

In Montreal, it was the view from the apt we were in for the night.

Cornwall, Ontario

The CF Chapter/Kinettes/Kinsmen had a great potluck supper for us here and we had a free room at this hotel.  Thanks!!

Pembroke, Ontario

Here we are in Pembroke.  Ate some pizza and met great people.

The Pembroke Kinettes and Kinsmen generously presented us with cheques, vests, free supper at Boston Pizza and a free night at a  hotel.

The real welcome to Quebec sign was on the 401 which we are not allowed on, this was the sign they gave us.

This was the  the crazy deer that ran beside Dave for awhile and then turned and ran back toward me. I think it wanted us to take it home with it.

Northern Ontario

Here is Davey trying to protect himself from the mosquitoes the night we camped between Longlac and Hearst.

Canada's capital city

We stayed here compliments of the owner. He gave us a free night stay and food. It was really nice, we chatted with some locals who were downstairs while we ate. They said to remember you can plunk it here, plunk it there, plunk it anywhere.

..hehehehe...

Jasper. We took the tramway up to the top of some mountain. The view from the top was amazing and there was so much snow everywhere. It started snowing when we were up there so they had to stop the tramway from running for awhile. It was super cold but made a pretty rainbow. After it cleared up we got back down no problem and went back to the hostel where a grizzly bear liked to hangout at the front.

Our prettiest campsite beside the boat launch at Moose lake. The lake stunned us because we weren't expecting it to be so pretty. Sleeping on the sand was a lot softer then other ground.

Entering the park. After this it went uphill forever. We took a hour off to relax so we didn't have to bike in the sun. It was pretty.

This was after we biked down the dirt road to see the cost of the river safari. We were too cheap to go on it but amused ourselves with the giant bear. It doesn't take much to amuse us now...

Our second out of 5 bears that we saw. The first one ran into the woods. After seeing this one we decided not to camp on the side of the road.

The fall*. I wasn't hurt, only a few bruises and the bike was ok.

*Dramatization, do not try at home

Elk!! I was so excited to see them. It was a goal of my trip and then we saw alot and had to wait sometimes for them to decide to cross the road. This day we went to Hinton and hit our 1000km mark. It was an exciting moment.

Woohoo!!! 1/10th done.

Moose lake #2. Brushing my teeth in the lake.

Mt. Terry Fox.  We stopped here for lunch before entering the park. There were a ton of ants at the picnic table but the bathrooms actually had running water.

Our campground in Blue river. Our tent was abour 10 feet away from a pile of snow. It kept our food cold that night which was nice. That day we went 98km. So close to the 100km mark.

One of the many climbs. It is always a fun trip on the way down.

Hope

This is where we left Aldous and decided not to take the Pass, it was definitly the right choice.

First night camping at Kilby

Hell's Gate

It was free which was fun. It was a nice break.

Going througgh the vallies. It was pretty and the hills were fun to go down although not as fun to climb.
